There's been some backlash recently about the disclaimer put up in the new Club By-Laws and Disclaimers part of the website. I just want everyone to know what the basic thought process is.

The disclaimer DOES NOT mean that we are disapproving of the breakfast rides. It DOES NOT mean that there aren't going to be any rides. The purpose of the disclaimer is to clarify that the rides advertised by the club are not "club-sponsored" rides, and therefore if something happens on one of the rides--for example, someone who's new to the club or not actually in the club decides to get intimate with a guard rail--the club and members are not able to be sued. There was a lot of thought put into this issue and if you want to discuss it or get a more detailed explanation of why this decision was made, please attend the February meeting, we were going to talk about it anyway.
