This is the perfect year to score a double header with the Square Route Rally hosted by the BMW Bikers of Metropolitan Washington happening the weekend before the BMW MOA national rally and it's right on the way. Approx. 3.5 hrs from Pittsburgh to Sabilasville, MD and another 2.5 hrs on to Richmond, VA. They're planning a connecting 3-day scenic ride from Mon - Wed. between the two rallies. Old time 4 Winds members used to frequently attend the Square Route.
June 2 - June 4, 2023 The 48th Annual Square Route Rally will be held at the YMCA Camp West Mar in Maryland's Catoctin Mountains with excellent riding near historic Gettysburg, Sharpsburg (Antietam), Harper's Ferry, the C&O Canal, Pennsylvania's Michaux State Forest and a stone's throw from part of the BDR (MA BDR section 3). If you stumble upon the gate into Camp David, make strongly suggest you make a quick U-Turn. For those interested in Arts & Shopping, both Gettysburg and Shepherdstown boast many galleries, shops, and sidewalk cafes in beautifully restored downtown areas. This rally is open to BMW motorcycle owners or bikers that ride other brands. Join us as we ride from SRR to the BMW MOA National Rally At the end of the Square Route Rally on Sunday, we will have a planned ride or rides depending on attendance to the Meadow Event Park for the BMW MOA's 50th National Rally. Enjoy two rallies with a scenic & leisurely ride linking them.
