So on such an amazing day i woke the beast from its winter slumber. Started up well, little coughy but settled nicely. Geared up while it warmed a bit. Out on the road, running well. I can feel the imbalance of the carbs, but not severe ( only winter work was replacement of throttle grip tube and cables to carbs) ,maybe i will try twinmax after this ride. Tooling along, i keep smelling oil burning. Cant be me, the beast hadnt marked territory in garage, so why would it be leaking anywhere. A bit more down the road(about 15 miles or so) i come to redlight. What the hell! Smoke, not super crazy thick but smoke nonetheless coming from under bike. Then i saw my left boot!...wet with oil! I limp home, no oil pressure light thanfully. Park in driveway and b4 i even get off the ground has several small puddles of oil. I look and the entire lower and side covered in a sheen of oil. Cleaned and now i wait to try and figure out where it leaked. Its def engine oil as the dipstick barely had a mark. Hopefully i can sort this out b4 tech day....lol
